The Trustees

John Hedges - Chairman

A serving GP in the Royston Health Centre Practice for 39 years.  John retired from the Partnership in 2017 but he still provides GP sessions in support of the Emergency Department of Addenbrookes Hospital.  John became an RDCT Trustee in 2011 on the grounds of being a facilitator of a community volunteer driver scheme for the town when, as GP Fundholding lead, his practice secretaries identified the need, and started organising, drivers for isolated or disabled patients needing to attend hospital appointments.

John lives in Bassingbourn and runs a small flock of pedigree Manx Loaghtan sheep that conservation graze Shepreth L-Moor

                              Kenneth Robert Hart - Treasurer

An exiled Scot who has live south of the border for over 40 years! Ken is married with 2 grown up daughters. Now retired, his career was in the Consumer Electronics industry. His last position was the National Service Manager for BEKO, a white goods manufacturer. 

Ken has been with the charity since 2019, originally as a volunteer driver. He has held the role of Treasurer for the last three years and is the IT support person for the charity.

Brian Johnson - Fundraising

Brian worked in the Construction industry for almost 50 years on a variety of projects from Power Stations to Hospitals, and major refurbishments, including work for government departments.  In his younger days Brian was involved in running a Scout Group.  He is married with 2 children and 6 grandchildren.

Pat Johnson - Fundraising

Pat is married to Brian and she assists with Fundraising for the charity, taking the lead on the RDCT Lottery.

She has a Chemistry degree from Brunel University and, before retirement, Pat worked as the Chemistry Technician in a private school. 

Peter Heath - Human Resources

Peter retired in 2015 and had worked on the operational side of the Road Passenger Transport industry across South Wales. He joined RDCT in 2016 as a volunteer driver and was asked to become a Trustee. He is the lead Trustee of the HR sub-committee.  Peter is widowed, he has twin daughters and 2 grandchildren.

Kaylee Bonja

Kaylee retired in 2019, and was recruited as a volunteer driver in April 2020. She has over 30 years experience in the charity sector, managing projects to assist children, young people and families. Kaylee is part of the IT, HR and compliance sub-committees. She is married, has three adult children, and seven grandchildren.
